I am indulging myself in some shameless self-promotion today. I have listed three pairs of earrings in my Etsy shop.On another note, my thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Santa Barbara who are dealing with yet another wildfire ("Jesusita Fire"). As of this morning, 75 homes have either been damaged or destroyed. It is absolutely heartbreaking. I only wish that we could afford to have our own Super Scoopers, as "fire season" seems to be coming earlier every year and now is really a year-round threat.

This is way too early for fires again. I live in the foothills above Sacramento and Stockton. It's a fear we live with here all summer, but this is so scary in May. My heart goes out to all the people who have lost homes down in Santa Barbara. "There but for the grace of God.." goes everyone living in high-fire areas. What is the "balcony" of Southern California? I have never heard that before. Are you in the foothills too?
I always love meeting people that come by to say Hi that way I can discover them too . I am fascinated by the carousel animals .Whoa I did not know that about the tongues how silly.. and then reading of your family. Mine also came over thorough Ellis Island . I visited the island several years back it was a really enlightening trip .You can look your family name up in a data base. They were still working on getting it all into the base and gathering info so we could not find our family at that time ,but I did see how hard a trip it must have been for those that came over.
